Quoted around the staircase, not the mileage.
Everything comes off in order and goes back on in reverse: cloth first, then pockets and rails, then the bed lifted out section by section, then the frame broken down. The slate rides upright and strapped; the rails ride wrapped, because rails are what get marked when a load goes on in a hurry.
Winter adds a step. Salt and slush come in on boots and hand trucks, so floors get covered on the way in and the way out, and a wet stair gets dried before anybody carries a bed section down it.
What sets the price
Two things decide a Boston number: what the stairs will allow, and where the truck is allowed to sit.
- Whether the bed is three sections or one slab, because the switchback will take one and not the other.
- The flights at both ends, counting turns, half-landings and the newel post at the top.
- How far the front door is from legal kerb space, and whether that space needs a permit.
- Whether the job splits into two visits, as it does for floor refinishing or a stop in storage.
- Whether cloth goes on while the table is already apart, which is cheaper than a second trip.

What finished looks like
Boston Pool Table Movers and Stripes And Solids guarantee all of our work. If you use our services and feel that something was done incorrectly, or that your table is becoming unlevel, we will come back out and fix the issue. That is good for 90 days after your service is completed.
Our normal appointment times are 8 to 9 am and 12 to 1 pm, Monday to Friday. Please feel free to call between 8 am and 5 pm, or leave a voicemail any time of day. There is an additional cost of $30 if we need to carry the table up stairs on an installation. On a home to home move we do not charge extra for stairs on a three piece slate table, and we will not move one piece slate tables.
